Student Possessions

Student Possessions

When clothing is marked with your child’s name, it is easier to return when lost. Unclaimed items are placed in the Lost & Found and turned over to the PTA Clothing Bank at the end of each trimester. Please do not allow your child to bring toys or other personal possessions to school unless requrested by the teacher. This includes: Yu-Gi-Oh!/PokeMon/collectable cards and electronic devices (Gameboys, iPods, Nintendo DS, CD players, etc). Cell phones are permitted however they must be turned off during school times. Montezuma is not responsible for lost or stolen items.


Electronic Devices

Personal electronic devices should be kept out of sight and silenced or powered off during the instructional day. Personal electronic devices include, but are not limited to, cellular phones, pagers, smart phones, music and media players, gaming devices, tablets, laptop computers and personal digital assistants. Devices will be confiscated if a student violates this policy. Teachers will turn the confiscated device into the office and the device will be locked in the vault.


  • First offense: device is held one day.
  • Second offense: device is held seven days.
  • Third offense: device is held until end of the semester.
