Enrollment Requirements

State Law 12-34 requires that all students entering the Albuquerque Public Schools for the first time must present a certificate showing immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, rubella and rubeola before admittance can be granted. They are also required to have started the 3-dose hepatitis B vaccine series. A physical check-up and a health report is advised but not required. Free immunizations are given every Wednesday at 1111 Stanford NE.

 

First time students to APS must have birth certificates. Kindergarten students must be five years of age by 12:01 am on September 1. First graders must have completed a certified kindergarten program and must be 6 years old by 12:01 am on September 1.
